Public Relations Manager (Account Executive)

Eberly & Collard Public Relations is a national firm specializing in integrated marketing communications, branding, product positioning, thought-leadership campaigns, event planning, public/media relations, digital marketing, SEO, demand generation, social media, influencer marketing and advertising. Our main office is based in Midtown Atlanta, and our satellite office is located in New York City.

Our Atlanta office has an immediate opening for an entrepreneurial, self-starting individual to join our growing team. This mid-level role is ideal for a strong writer and account lead who is comfortable owning day-to-day client communications and executing modern, integrated PR programs across earned, owned, and paid channels. Candidates may have held prior titles such as Public Relations Manager, Account Executive, Senior Public Relations Coordinator, Senior Account Coordinator, Communications Manager, or PR/Marketing Specialist.

We are looking for people who believe we can accomplish so much more together than apart. People who are ready to jump right in, love collaborating, and value our culture of inclusion and transparency.

The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for omni-channel functions essential to earned media, client account leadership, content development, campaign planning, measurement/reporting, and the coordination of high-level integrated marketing programs.

The Position:

  • Manage assigned client accounts to ensure integrated program plans are executed on time and to a high standard; lead client communications, document activity, and report progress on a consistent cadence.
  • Lead earned media strategy and execution, including media list development, pitching, follow-up, interview coordination, and ongoing relationship building with relevant editors, reporters, journalists, and producers.
  • Develop and oversee high-quality written deliverables with extreme accuracy, including press releases, media materials, byline articles, pitches, thought-leadership content, social copy, and client correspondence. Solid knowledge of Associated Press writing guidelines is essential.
  • Plan integrated content and campaign calendars across earned, owned, and paid channels; collaborate with digital and social team members to align messaging, timing, and performance goals.
  • Conduct market and media research, including editorial calendars, competitor intelligence, and trend monitoring; apply findings to strengthen brand visibility and campaign performance.
  • Coordinate select paid and sponsored opportunities (as applicable), including planning timelines, asset delivery, copy coordination, and submission requirements; ensure campaigns are documented and reportable.
  • Support digital-first PR outcomes by identifying backlink and brand mention opportunities and collaborating on content optimization for search and emerging answer experiences (GEO/AEO) with internal and external partners as needed.
  • Support event- and tradeshow-driven initiatives by assisting with press planning, media appointments, onsite/digital press room needs, and post-event follow-up; help capture and repurpose content for ongoing visibility.
  • Oversee and coordinate influencer and creator initiatives in partnership with account and digital teams, including identification, outreach support, briefing, timeline management, and reporting on results.
  • Brief and oversee creative/design deliverables (graphics, video, presentations, and other assets) to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand alignment; coordinate production timelines across internal and external partners.
  • Own coverage tracking and reporting, including recaps, qualitative highlights, and measurable outcomes (placements, impressions, share-of-voice, referral traffic, lead indicators, etc.) where applicable.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members and interns as needed; provide guidance, quality control, and training to maintain strong execution standards across media lists, research, drafting, and reporting.
  • Serve in a proactive role to assist agency owners and senior team members with streamlining best practices for client account management and contributing to the growth of the agency.
  • Support new business development by assisting with audits, meeting preparation, presentations, and scope/proposal development as needed.
  • Demonstrate consistent, positive values and actions aligned with Eberly & Collard Public Relations’ ongoing mission and day-to-day activities.

Qualifications:

Important: 2-to 4-year minimum post-college work experience required in a public relations, communications, marketing, or similar agency environment. 4-year BA or BS degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or an extremely similar degree required.

Internships are important but do not count toward the 2-to 4-year post-college experience unless they took place after college graduation and the dates are verifiable.

Compensation:

  • The budgeted salary range for this position is competitive and based on qualifications and experience.
  • Bonuses are based on the growth of the company and meeting individual performance metrics.

Why Should You Apply?

  • Generous PTO and paid holidays.
  • Rich benefits package includes health, dental, vision and retirement plans.
  • Bonus “Employee Incentive” program.
  • ECPR “Give Back” Program.
  • Paid Parking.
  • Great clients and creative/interesting campaigns.
  • Upbeat, collaborative team environment.
  • Promotions available.
  • Summer Fridays program.
  • Gym membership included.
  • Professional development and mentorship programs offered by senior team members.
  • Celebration of individual and agency milestones (birthdays, work anniversaries, new client accounts, etc.).
