Engineering Manager, Core Platform Team
Skills
- 8–12 years software engineering experience with 3+ years in engineering management.
- Proven experience building platforms, shared services, or internal developer tooling.
- Experience acting as product owner or technical lead for internal platform products.
- Familiarity with Java-based platforms and modern CI/CD systems.
- Hands-on experience in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own platform vision, multi-quarter roadmap, and success metrics (adoption, build time, reliability).
- Act as product owner for internal platform capabilities and translate developer pain points into scalable solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing platform engineering team with clear goals and career paths.
- Drive predictable delivery using agile practices and ensure platform work scales without creating bottlenecks.
- Define, implement, and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Improve developer experience via libraries, templates, CI/CD tooling, testing frameworks, documentation, and self-service.
- Partner with Architecture, DevOps, Security, and Compliance to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
- Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to meet non-functional requirements.
- Research and implement AI-assisted tools and frameworks for firm-wide adoption.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
