- Familiarity with Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL / MS SQL and ODBC
- Source control, pull requests, and code review experience (GitHub, Azure DevOps)
- CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation knowledge
- Test-driven development and testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Jest, Google Test)
- Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as DataDog
- Comfortable with Linux and Windows environments and basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience in agile development using tools such as JIRA and GitLab
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams to design, build, test, and deliver high-quality software on schedule
- Hire, onboard, coach, and develop engineering talent; run one-on-ones and performance reviews
- Set team goals and ensure alignment with departmental and company priorities
- Provide technical guidance, participate in architecture discussions, and contribute hands-on as needed
- Enforce engineering best practices: code reviews, source control, CI/CD, and testing standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, Customer Support, and Operations
- Monitor and report team progress, velocity, throughput, and delivery health
- Use observability tools (e.g., DataDog) to ensure performance and reliability
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted developer tools responsibly to improve productivity
- Support post-production deployments, incident resolution, and operational health
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated professional experience across the full software development lifecycle (6+ years)
