Skills
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for complex modeling
- SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipelines
- Programming in Python or R for analytics and automation
- Advanced visualization using Tableau and storytelling with data
- Familiarity with statistical analysis (regression, hypothesis testing, experimentation)
- Experience in reserving and pricing within the insurance industry
- Actuarial exam progress (at least 5 exams passed)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain actuarial tools and dashboards for reserving, pricing, and trend monitoring
- Perform robust quantitative analyses to support reserving accuracy and insurance program optimization
- Assist senior actuaries with monthly performance reporting and automation of recurring workflows
- Gather, reconcile, and prepare data from internal systems and external sources for actuarial analyses
- Collaborate with Claims, Finance, Legal, and other partners to incorporate operational insights
- Deliver well-documented analyses and own assigned projects from scoping through delivery
- Support carrier negotiations with actuarial indications and loss analysis
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related quantitative field
- Progress toward actuarial credentials (multiple exams passed)
