Job Purpose
As an Enterprise Architect, you will define, govern, and oversee enterprise-level architectural solutions that address complex business challenges. You will serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring that technical strategies align with organizational goals. Leveraging deep industry expertise and a strong command of modern cloud and hybrid platforms, you will guide the design of scalable, secure, and future-ready systems to drive operational excellence and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and govern enterprise-level architectures that solve cross-domain business problems while ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
- Act as the bridge between business leaders and engineering teams, translating technical concepts into business-friendly terms.
- Ensure systems are performant, secure, and compliant with industry and organizational standards.
- Establish and enforce reference architectures, standards, and best practices to safeguard technology investments.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of rail and transportation operations (e.g., dispatch, scheduling, movement planning, asset management) to align solutions with industry workflows.
- Drive innovation through expertise in AWS, Azure, hybrid stacks, data-driven platforms, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
- Oversee multiple architecture initiatives simultaneously, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and execution.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data and Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 7+ years of experience leading enterprise architecture initiatives in large-scale, highly regulated environments.
- Prior experience serving as an architect within enterprises generating $500M+ in revenue, guiding platform decisions to support long-term scalability.
- Proven ability to lead large, complex architecture projects with multiple stakeholders across business units.
- Strong track record of defining and implementing architectural standards, frameworks, and governance models.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and able to thrive in fast-paced, transformation-focused environments.
