Summary:
Delinea is looking for a hands-on Software Development Manager to lead the engineering team behind our Platform Authorization product—a critical component of the Delinea platform that delivers secure, scalable access control for our cloud-native services.
This is a technical leadership role where you'll oversee a distributed team of U.S.-based engineers and international contractors. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of access control across Delinea's platform, combining architectural leadership, strong engineering discipline, and people management. This position is preferred to be hybrid out of our Lehi, UT office.
Lead the design and development of the Platform Authorization service with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.
Manage, coach, and develop a globally distributed team of full-time engineers and contractors.
Guide architectural decisions and contribute to technical design discussions across the organization.
Maintain regular hands-on involvement in the codebase—this is a technical leadership role where you'll actively contribute to design and development alongside your team.
Drive sprint execution and backlog prioritization using SCRUM and Agile methodologies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, DevOps, Security, and other Engineering teams to define and deliver new capabilities.
Promote engineering best practices including secure coding, testing, CI/CD, and peer reviews.
Provide regular performance feedback, mentorship, and career development support for direct reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
10+ years of professional software development experience, primarily using C# or other object-oriented languages.
3+ years of engineering management experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including deploying and scaling distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
Deep understanding of Agile development, modern DevOps practices, and secure software delivery.
Highly organized and effective in using tools like Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, and team coordination.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead discussions and drive decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A player-coach mindset—you’re as comfortable diving into architecture or code as you are mentoring your team.
Experience building authorization, authentication, or identity management services, especially in cloud-native or SaaS environments.
Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes (k8s), and ArgoCD for infrastructure automation and delivery.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or FedRAMP.
Experience working with offshore or contract-based engineering teams.
