Help Desk Specialist - 408809-A

Delaware Nation Industries/Indigenous Technologies works with AFLCMC located at Tinker AFB, OK to provide remote support to the Air Force’s Core Engine Maintenance System. We are seeking a Mid-Level Database Administrator (DBA) to provide database administration, support, and sustainment services for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Propulsion Integration Division (AFLCMC/LPZ), in support of the Core Engine Maintenance System (CEMS) Program Management Office (PMO). The DBA will support the CEMS application and platform database needs to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of mission-critical systems.

Must be United States Citizen.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 help desk support for CEMS users, resolving technical issues and escalating to Product and Platform teams when necessary.
• Track, manage, and document help desk tickets through closure.
• Manage and maintain the CEMS homepage, including updates on system releases, maintenance schedules, and other communications to users.
• Support system hardening and security compliance activities in coordination with IA/Cybersecurity staff, including:
• STIG implementation
• Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) support
• Vulnerability management, remediation, and mitigation activities
• Assist with user account management and access provisioning in alignment with system security policies.
• Support infrastructure maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior Cloud Administrators and IA/Cybersecurity staff.
• Ensure system functionality, availability, reliability, and responsiveness to maintain a system availability rate exceeding 99%.
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and cybersecurity personnel to resolve technical issues and improve user experience.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
• 2-4 years of help desk, system administration, or technical support experience.
• Experience with ticketing systems and incident tracking.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working in a security-conscious environment with knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and remediation processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

• Desired Qualifications:
• Experience supporting DoD or Air Force IT systems.
• Familiarity with CEMS or similar enterprise systems.
• Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, or AWS environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices (e.g., STIGs, PPS, vulnerability scanning).
• ITIL certification or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with content management for internal web pages or portals.
