General Purpose of the Job
The Manager in the Program Management team will oversee delivery activities for specific programs of work, assuming responsibility for all aspects of successfully delivering the agreed scope of work. The program will usually have a high complexity including multiple sub-projects and high program budget.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing and taking ownership of all aspects of the program
Coaching project managers supporting the program within a matrixed organization
Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders
Representing program in status and governance reviews with IT and business sponsors
Acting as key contact for program stakeholders
Building strong relationships with key business and IT leaders
Liaising with key stakeholders to understand program demand and working with PMO leadership to create appropriate resource plans
Driving all PMO processes and standards within the program
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program management and oversight
Executive reporting
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required
8+ years of project and program management experience (preferred)
Experience using Microsoft suite of tools including MS Project
Experience using PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) tool
Experience leading cross-functional, matrixed project teams
Ability to build strong relationships across multiple lines of business
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Project Management Professional Accreditation
