Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our financial products. You’ll design and implement scalable testing strategies, build automation frameworks, and work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver seamless and trustworthy user experiences.

What You'll Do

• Own Quality End-to-End – Design, implement, and maintain robust testing processes, from planning to production release.

• Build Automation Frameworks – Develop and scale automated testing systems for web applications and APIs to improve speed and reliability of deployments.

• Greenfield Development – Establish quality best practices and build foundational testing infrastructure for new products and features from scratch.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to define requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure high-quality releases.

• Champion Testing Culture – Advocate for quality and testing best practices across the organization, mentoring engineers on writing testable, maintainable code.

• Continuous Improvement – Analyze production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements to prevent regressions and downtime.

• Performance and Security Focus – Validate performance, security, and compliance requirements critical to fintech and regulatory environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering with a focus on web or mobile applications.

• Strong experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar).

• Proficiency in scripting or coding for automation, ideally using JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Deep understanding of manual testing techniques, test planning, and exploratory testing.

• Experience testing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how testing fits into the development lifecycle.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.

• Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment, balancing speed with quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with fintech products, such as lending, credit cards, or payments.

• Familiarity with performance testing and load testing tools.

• Knowledge of security and compliance testing for regulated industries.
  Background in building QA processes from the ground up in high-growth environments.
  Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total compensation and rewards package at Credit Genie. You may also be eligible to participate in the bonus and equity programs.
