Strategy & Operations - Planning Lead

Create is hiring a Planning Lead to own our demand and supply planning process across the supply chain, ensuring we have the right product in the right place, at the right time in all our sales channels. This is a highly analytical, detail-oriented role that will translate forecasts into actionable operational plans, helping us scale into new channels while keeping inventory healthy and service levels high.

You’ll stand up and run Create’s S&OP process, working closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external partners to build accurate forecasts, optimize production plans, and keep us ahead of demand shifts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand & Supply Planning: Own Create’s demand and supply planning process end-to-end. Translate top-down sales forecasts into detailed, SKU/channel-level operational plans. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align forecasts with promotions, launches, and seasonal trends.
  • S&OP Process Leadership: Stand up and run Create’s S&OP cadence, ensuring cross-functional alignment on inventory, production, and demand priorities. Lead monthly and weekly demand review meetings, providing clear recommendations and risk/opportunity analysis.
  • Inventory Management & Allocation: Monitor inventory health across all channels and warehouses. Recommend allocation strategies to balance service levels and working capital efficiency. Flag and address inventory risks, including low stock, overstock, and slow-movers.
  • Data & Analysis: Build and maintain forecasting and inventory models in Excel/Google Sheets. Analyze forecast accuracy and recommend improvements to reduce variance. Develop reports and dashboards to communicate supply chain KPIs to leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Lead to align production and fulfillment schedules with demand plans. Partner with brokers and retail partners to validate demand assumptions and in-market performance. Coordinate with Product Development on upcoming launches and packaging changes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3–5 years in demand planning, supply chain, finance, consulting, or a highly analytical role in a CPG or consumer brand environment.
  • Analytical Excellence: Strong in Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable building and maintaining complex models.
  • Detail Orientation: Relentless in chasing accuracy, reducing variance, and improving processes.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to connect forecasts to business realities, promotions, and operational constraints.
  • Ownership Mindset: Takes full responsibility for forecast accuracy and inventory health.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled at diagnosing issues quickly and developing practical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Able to present data and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with S&OP process design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with inventory optimization tools and methods.
  • Experience with both DTC and omni-channel retail environments.
