Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Program Manager / Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI and SQL to join our Global Government Affairs team. This role will focus on analyzing and visualizing data related to state-level economic impact, international trade and exports, and global ecommerce trends. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data-driven storytelling and a strong interest in public policy, economic development, and digital commerce.

What You Will Do

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on state-level economic impacts and export trends with a focus on cross-border ecommerce.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources including relevant databases, trade platforms, and ecommerce datasets.
• Collaborate with business teams, policy analysts, public relations team, and global government relations team to define data requirements and ensure data integrity.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for internal teams, policymakers, and external partners.
• Monitor and report on key economic metrics, identifying trends and anomalies that may impact business or create new business opportunities.
• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects related to economic development, trade policy, and digital commerce.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
• Proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI tools like Tableau) and SQL.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
• Strong understanding of economic indicators, international trade data, and ecommerce platforms.
• Experience working with large datasets from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), or international trade databases.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with geospatial data and mapping tools.
• Knowledge of public policy, economic development, or international business.
• Experience working in or with government agencies, NGOs, or research institutions.

Pay & Benefits:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.The base pay for this position ranges from $83,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $154,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
