Skills
- Experience in Search, Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, ML, DL or NLP
- Proficient coding in Python, Java or C++
- Experience handling large-scale data in distributed environments
- Experience designing and running A/B tests and measuring online metrics
- Familiarity with deep learning models (BERT, two-tower, neural ranking) and ANN retrieval
- Experience applying graph algorithms for relationships between queries and documents
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and quantify bottlenecks and defects in search and recommendation systems
- Propose and design solutions leveraging ML, DL and large language models
- Implement models and systems, deploy to production, and run A/B tests to validate impact
- Lead cross-functional technical discussions and build consensus for large initiatives
- Develop and iterate on models such as conversion prediction, two-tower embeddings, BERT-based retrieval/classification/NER, neural relevance models, and graph-based methods
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (required)
- PhD in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
