Short Description
- The Security Engineer works closely with business and IT to determine business process and productivity needs and develop the necessary technology strategy to support the business goals.
- The Security Engineer will protect and support technical needs, requirements, and the state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operations.
- Work with technical management to optimize networks that effectively reflect business needs, service-level and availability requirements, and other technology parameters.
Experience Required
0–1 year experience required.
2–4 years' experience preferred.
Education Requirements
- High School Graduate/GED/Equivalent Work Experience required.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
License/Certification Requirements
- NIST, SIEM, HIPPA, Security+, Firewall experience desired.
- CCVP, CCIE, CCNP, professional certs desired.
- CCNA desired.
Special Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT Infrastructure, Security, Firewalls, VPNs, Operations, Administration, and Network Engineering desired.
- Strong analytical, technical and troubleshooting skills desired.
- Customer focus and positive, can-do approach is critical required.
- Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
