Intro

Contoro Robotics is an Austin, TX based start-up focused on solving labor shortage problems in multiple industrial applications with a human-in-the-loop approach for AI-powered robotics. Our Cloud Platform Analytics data pipeline is a critical feedback loop that drives continuous improvement of our products. We're looking for an ambitious Software Engineer to help take our analytics pipeline to the next level!

Job Responsibilities

• Own and enhance all aspects of our Analytics ETL data pipeline

• Schema Definition & Validation

• Data Ingestion & Post-Processing

• Data Persistence (both on-prem and managed DBs)

• KPI Dashboards

• Enable access to aggregate and real-time dashboards for telemetry and key metrics

• Manage and upgrade containerized messaging infrastructure

• Optimize ingestion time, uptime and upgrade cycles while remaining within budget

• Develop a new customer-facing dashboard portal

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proven ability to lead complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams

• A self-starting personality, sense of urgency, and drive to solve root cause of problems

• 2+ years of experience with Linux OS and proficiency with Python

• Experience with Kafka, AWS MSK and timeseries databases

• Skilled with SQL – including optimizing complex time series queries (PostgreSQL)

• Experience Grafana or similar dashboarding tools

• Experience with containerization concepts and common tools (Docker, Compose, etc)

• Strong passion for data integrity and maximum performance

• Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate concisely and effectively

• Willingness to work on-site at the Austin, TX office

• Working towards a degree in Computer Science or a related field
