Emergency Department (ED) RN I - New Graduate Program

Compensation

Pay Rate: $48.00 per hour

 

Shift Diff: $3/hr - 1500 - 2300; $5/hr - 2300 - 0700; $2/hr - Friday & Saturday 1900 - 0700

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department (ED), coordinates care planning with other disciplines as required. 

 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current CA Registered Nurse License by August 8, 2025
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification or must obtain within three (3) months from start date
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification or must obtain within three (3) months from start date
  • Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) & College of American Pathologist (CAP) Requirements
