  • Provide real-time technical support during live productions, troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly.
  • Monitor signals, feeds, and recording systems to ensure consistent production quality.

Remote Production Support

  • Provide engineering support for remote productions, including setup, signal flow, and live transmission.
  • Coordinate with field production teams to ensure technical readiness and reliability for on-location events.

  • Document configurations, wiring, and workflows for operational reference and compliance.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to evaluate new technologies and implement system improvements.

Quality Control & Signal Integrity

  • Ensure all video and audio signals meet Comcast’s technical quality standards.
  • Calibrate and monitor signal paths to maintain consistency across broadcast and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot encoding, transmission, or routing issues to prevent disruptions.
  • Maintain high standards of reliability, redundancy, and performance across all systems.

Collaboration & Workflow Support

  • Work closely with producers, directors, and production teams to meet technical requirements for each project.
  • Collaborate with IT and network teams on system connectivity, media storage, and infrastructure performance.
  • Support coordination between Studio C, Plymouth operations, and other production facilities.
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to operators and production staff as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience in video engineering, broadcast operations, or live production environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of video and audio systems, control room workflows, and routing infrastructure.
  • Experience operating and maintaining production switchers, intercom systems, and signal monitoring tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure production environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience in corporate or network-level broadcast operations.
  • Familiarity with IP video, remote contribution systems, and cloud-based production technologies.
  • Knowledge of video transmission standards (SDI, NDI, SMPTE 2110) and video codecs.
  • Experience supporting live events, remote productions, or multi-camera studio setups.
  • Certifications in broadcast engineering, media systems, or related technologies.
