Responsibilities: Provide direct support to high school students, guiding them through college applications, financial aid processes, and resource management, while maintaining consistent communication and managing a caseload of up to 400 students.
Skills: 1-3 years of experience mentoring or coaching students, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and experience in teaching or advising underserved populations, with a preference for bilingual candidates.
Location: This position is strongly preferred in Houston, TX, with a focus on Texas-based students and schools.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $40,000 - $55,000.

The Advising Specialist is responsible for providing support to high school students who are seeking to earn a college degree in the areas of college exploration, the college application process, financial aid, scholarships, , career exposure, campus connection, and more via in-person and virtual methods in both group and 1:1 settings.
