Skills
- Strong experience in distributed systems engineering and high volume software applications.
- Proficient in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experienced with at least one modern strongly-typed language such as Rust, TypeScript, or Go.
- Ability to debug and optimize large-scale distributed platforms.
- Knowledge of low-latency real-time environments and non-garbage collected languages is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop globally distributed data consistency models and storage engine optimizations.
- Design novel APIs for data-centric products leveraging Cloudflare's global network.
- Own software development lifecycle from inception to release across multiple layers of the stack.
- Work with diverse programming languages including Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript, and C++.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and identify failure modes in large-scale distributed systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
