ERP Asset Management Specialist, Infrastructure
Skills
- Proven experience administering asset and maintenance modules within a major ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Strong understanding of data center hardware, rack-level asset tracking, and DCIM principles.
- Experience with asset lifecycle management, inventory reconciliation and audit processes.
- Ability to configure ERP workflows, data fields, and integrations with Finance and ITSM systems.
- Proficient data analysis and reporting skills to produce actionable asset and utilization metrics.
- Familiarity with hardware inventory tools and ServiceNow or similar ITAM/HAM systems.
- Excellent communication to train stakeholders and act as liaison across teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert and administrator for asset management and maintenance management modules in the Oracle ERP environment.
- Configure, administer, and optimize ERP asset and maintenance module settings, workflows, and integrations.
- Manage the full lifecycle of physical data center assets from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and disposition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records including site, cabinet, U position, configurations, and asset relationships.
- Provide central support and guidance to deployment engineers and technicians for correct asset recording and policy adherence.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, ITSM, and other ERP teams to ensure consistent data flows and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of physical assets and generate reports on status, utilization, and depreciation.
- Manage maintenance schedules, vendor warranties, repairs, disposals and support compliance and audit requirements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
