Skills
- 8+ years software development experience with proven technical leadership.
- Experience designing and delivering scalable distributed systems.
- Strong operational tooling and SRE-style practices (SLIs/SLOs, observability, incident management).
- Proven people management and hiring experience for engineering teams, including distributed teams.
- Clear, empathetic, and constructive verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with abuse, Trust & Safety, or compliance domains is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Platform Abuse Remediation engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and career development.
- Own delivery and technical direction for services that process abuse reports, communicate with submitters/customers, and perform remediations.
- Ensure engineering standards, reliability, observability, SLIs/SLOs, alerting, and incident management for team-owned services.
- Collaborate closely with Trust & Safety, other Cloudforce One teams, and product/engineering stakeholders to align on priorities and compliance needs.
- Plan and oversee execution to meet commitments with predictable delivery and capacity planning.
- Drive operational excellence including tracing, monitoring, on-call practices, and post-incident reviews.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience acceptable.
