The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is seeking a full-time Business Analyst for the Bureau of Technology Development and Systems. The successful candidate will report directly to the Deputy Director of FIRES and will be responsible for assessing and documenting business processes, analyzing data, and participating in system design and development activities for the Bureau of Fire Prevention (BFP), Revenue Management, and Legal Enforcement units. The Business Analyst will collaborate with end-users to analyze and document business processes, outline functional requirements, and work with developers to define system functions and upgrade needs. Additionally, the analyst will work alongside developers and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure that functional requirements are met and properly tested. The role also involves monitoring the data quality of routine data processing and resolving end-user and functional testing. Must have excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, writing, analytical, problem-solving, information gathering, and customer service skills.
