About the Role:

As the Activities Director, you will plan, develop, and oversee a dynamic range of programs designed to meet the social, cognitive, and physical needs of our residents. You’ll manage and lead a team of support staff, volunteers, and drivers. From arranging outings and holiday celebrations to crafting monthly newsletters and coordinating educational seminars, you will be at the heart of community life. 

Responsibilities

  • Creating strategies and programs that drive the customer experience.
  • Facilitate events for Resident Appreciate Month (September), and throughout the year, as reflected in strategy and plans.
  • Engage and build relationships with Residents by attending Monthly New Resident Events, Leading and Planning Monthly Resident Meetings, and personally handling all Annual Lease Renewals.
  • Initiate and lead monthly Resident Services programming planning meetings.
  • Work with the VP to create an on-going TRAINING System and Program for Directors, Supervisors, and Front-Line Employees, that drives our Resident Experience
  • Coordinate with the VP and Director of Sales, for any Digital or traditional Marketing required, to advance the department and drive resident experience
  • Qualifications

    • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or combination of education /work experience.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior living or similar health-related field, or acceptable hospitality industry.
    • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
    • Possess the ability to seek out new methods and directives and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
