Skills
- Cloud infrastructure design and operations (public cloud)
- Software development experience in Ruby, Go, or similar languages
- Experience in DevOps/SRE/ProdEng roles supporting customer-facing web services
- Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, ArgoCD)
- Infrastructure-as-code and configuration management (Terraform, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and observability tooling (Datadog, logging)
- Experience with databases, message buses, caching, and related service components
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Automate scaling, monitoring, and operational processes across the platform
- Build self-service tools for engineers to provision and manage infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code
- Create tooling and processes to improve security, availability, and scalability
- Collaborate with product and service teams to design services following modern patterns (e.g., 12 Factor)
- Support and improve container-based deployments and orchestration
- Develop monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to maintain platform health
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive platform improvements and incident response
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant industry certifications or professional training are a plus
