Job Summary

The Purchasing Specialist supports CDW’s procurement operations by managing inventory, resolving PO and pricing issues, and executing purchasing strategies that drive margin and operational efficiency. This role collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure smooth product transitions, accurate order fulfillment, and effective program execution.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to support procurement success.
• Vet financial and procurement components of the pre-order process.
• Create and manage buy-in/VIR and bill-only purchase orders.
• Investigate and resolve PO issues, pricing discrepancies, and PO rejections.
• Manage product discontinuations and transitions.
• Collaborate with Sales to resolve open PO issues and bill-only PO concerns.
• Support new product introductions and programmatic issue resolution.
• Share feedback with partners and Product & Partner Management (PPM).
• Review partner programs to identify margin opportunities and improve usability.

What we expect of you

• Bachelor’s Degree OR
• 3 years of experience in Procurement, Pricing, Purchasing, or a related field with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with senior leadership
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Buyers, Partner Management, Accounting, and Vendors
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing purchasing operations and resolving complex issues
• Familiarity with procurement systems and product lifecycle management

Pay range: $22.60/hour-$31.44/hour depending on experience and skill set
