Senior Product Security Engineer
Skills
- Deep expertise in application security and secure software development practices.
- Experience securing cloud-native systems, microservices, and APIs.
- Hands-on with security tooling and automation: SAST, DAST, dependency/IaC scanning, runtime monitoring.
- Knowledge of AI/ML security risks and mitigations (prompt injection, data poisoning, model security).
- Experience conducting threat modeling, architectural risk assessments, and code reviews.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Offensive security experience or familiarity with penetration testing methodology.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure architectures for applications, services, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Embed security into the development lifecycle via threat modeling, secure design reviews, and secure coding guidance.
- Conduct technical security reviews including code assessments, dependency analysis, and architectural risk evaluations.
- Drive AI/ML security controls to mitigate risks such as prompt injection, data poisoning, and insecure model integrations.
- Perform offensive security work including internal penetration testing and support third-party pen tests.
- Participate in application-focused incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.
- Mentor engineers and security team members to adopt secure-by-default practices and scalable guardrails.
- Define security standards, tooling, and long-term strategy while influencing cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Advanced degree (Master's) or relevant certifications are a plus but not required.
