Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Mesa Arizona.


The Apache Supply Chain Business Team seeks a proactive, experienced First-Line Manager to lead post-award activities including parts mitigation, supplier recovery, cost recovery, and change board management for Apache programs. This role will manage a cross-functional team of Supply Base Managers and Procurement Analysts driving timely and compliant responses to supplier and program changes ensuring financial and schedule impacts are identified, mitigated, and recovered where appropriate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • • 3+ years’ experience with Supplier Management or Procurement as a Purchasing Agent/Buyer
  • • 3+ years’ experience developing and implementing process improvements
  • • 3+ years’ experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • • 1 + years’ experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • • 1 + years’ experience working across multiple programs and locations

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $110,500 - $136,500
