👋 Get to know Isaac Pelenur
Right now, I am studying at University of Massachusetts Amherst, pursuing a B.S. dual degree in Computer Science and Physics. This summer, I will finish my first year, and plan to put my prior Computer Science skills to use. Before college, I took all of the coding classes at my high school, and learned OOP, Java, and Python. I was interested in writing efficient code, after observing the difference in speed between Java and Python, so I spent time learning C++, and working on various small projects. C++ was so efficient it amazed me! I did a little work in Assembly code, to learn about why, but by then I was moving on to college, and becoming interested in physics, as well as internet security and cybersecurity. I also used Java and OOP on my robotics team's robot code, which I built along with a small team, designing the code structure and training newer coders. During the summer, I wanted to get a bit of hard work experience, so I lived away from home and worked as a Dishwasher. Now, I know I prefer jobs that make you think. During this year at Amherst, I became interested in a new field: quantum computing. My plan is to study and work in quantum computing in the future. But this summer, I really want to practice coding.
