Skills
- Production Kubernetes deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring experience
- Strong Java development experience (5+ years)
- Proficiency in an additional language (Python preferred)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, EKS, RDS, SQS, Lambda)
- Containerization and Docker expertise for Linux environments
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, GitOps workflows and tools (ArgoCD)
- Knowledge of distributed systems, network security, and system architecture
- Experience building CI/CD and automation pipelines
- Strong written and verbal communication and mentoring skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and migrate enterprise-grade services for internal and customer-hosted environments.
- Develop APIs and infrastructure-as-a-service components that integrate with core platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional engineering teams to refine requirements and deliver implementable solutions.
- Participate in peer mentorship and code review processes to ensure high-quality, maintainable software.
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise service solutions for customer and internal environments.
- Support migration of legacy services to containerized, Kubernetes-based deployments using GitOps methodologies.
- Create automation pipelines for provisioning infrastructure, deploying services, and managing configuration with tools like Terraform and ArgoCD.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and operate production Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Communicate with customer technical staff (infrastructure and security teams) as needed.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Relevant professional certifications or equivalent hands-on experience
