Manager / Senior Manager of EMR Integrations & Interoperability
Skills
- Hands-on experience with major EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athena)
- Deep knowledge of interoperability standards: HL7, FHIR, CDA, SMART on FHIR, and APIs
- Proven delivery of complex EMR/integration projects on time and within scope
- Experience managing and mentoring technical teams and project leads
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and SDLC best practices
- Understanding of security, HIPAA, and healthcare compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise-wide EMR integration strategy and multi-year roadmap for scalable, secure integration infrastructure
- Manage end-to-end EMR integration projects across Epic, Cerner, Athena and other major platforms from scoping to go-live and long-term support
- Lead design, configuration, and optimization of EMR workflows, data exchange protocols, APIs, and custom interfaces
- Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performance team of integration engineers, analysts, and project managers
- Establish and enforce best practices for security, scalability, HIPAA/HITRUST compliance, and SDLC
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, incident response, and production support processes
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Commercial teams to align integrations with business objectives and client needs
- Represent EMR integration efforts in executive briefings, client engagements, and industry events; report on KPIs, risks, and performance
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent practical experience in healthcare IT/EMR integrations accepted
