Responsibilities:
High level of interaction with MDS associates and potential external vendors, associations, and customers.
Create correspondence and communications with employee’s and leaders
Collaborates with others in completing day to day work and projects.
Submits facilities request for molding, works closely with leadership.
Prepares POs for purchase of Molding equipment and consumables.
Provides back-up support to other Tool Room Techs as needed.
Organizing & and maintaining department spares & supplies for Molding.
Utilization of business systems (SAP, Aravo, BuySmart) Data steward for setting up & updating vendors, Follow through on PO orders/issues.
Responsible for PO creation and interactions with vendors and service center.
Supports overall Mold Shop needs.
Attention to detail in entering preventative maintenance information and data into Moldtrax system
Manager Inventory control and stock parts for equipment and consumables
Order parts ie special orders for molding equipment through Buy smart and SAP
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work.
Run and provide reports and data for financial accrual and tracking
Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers.
Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD policies, and procedures.
Complies with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations/ policies/procedures including RCRA hazardous waste regulations.
Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles.

Education and Experience:
Minimum education; High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years’ experience required, or
2 years or more experience working in a highly automated & large (+400 person) manufacturing environment preferred
Minimum of 2 years of progressive administrative experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Teams).
Working knowledge of SAP.
Must have strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and ability to complete special projects.
Must have the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
Must be able to interact effectively with all levels within the organization.
Must show initiative, good judgment, ability to assume responsibilities, manage and work independently, and handle highly confidential information.
Maintains personal computer skill levels compatible with current technology used within the company

The incumbent may be frequently required to stand and/or occasionally sit for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping, and reaching are also frequently required. While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, kneeling, balancing, crouching, pushing/pulling, repetitive grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers.
The incumbent may occasionally be required to climb.
The incumbent may occasionally be required to lift to 20 lbs., frequently lift up to 10 lbs., occasionally pulling/pushing up to 30 lbs., frequently pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs., frequently carry up to 5 lbs.
Employees must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
The incumbent must be willing and able to wear required PPE such as, safety glasses, face mask and/or shield, hearing protection, safety shoes, hair and beard net and smock.
Work Environment & Essential Physical Functions:
This position is in a clean room, shop or laboratory manufacturing environment and the physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The incumbent may be exposed to noise levels in the work environment moderate to loud.
Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, cleaning compounds and solvents.
The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, and potential temperature fluctuations.
