Our mission is to accelerate positive impact in critical industries through AI transformation.
We’re growing quickly and already work with category-leaders in real estate (CBRE), energy (LevelTen Energy), logistics (Flexe) and utilities (can’t say which large utility yet).
We’re a public benefit corporation, founded in 2024 and have been profitable from the beginning (bootstrapped with consulting).
We work on challenges in clean energy, decarbonization, climate risk, energy systems and global economics. We’re building our company for long term success and aim to build the ultimate place to work if you’re passionate about AI and positive impact.
We seek an experienced Program Manager to bring sharp organizational instincts and a passion for delivering transformational client outcomes.
You’ll be one of the first full-time project leaders at AZX, working closely with company founders and engineering teams, and you’ll have a significant impact on both client success and how we scale our delivery model.
You will help foster a culture of operational excellence, client trust, and continuous improvement as we grow the company. Some projects are enterprise-scale, while others are fast innovation cycles — over time, you’ll also help us build internal playbooks and frameworks that accelerate client value.
You’ll join a company founded by experienced veterans in climate and AI. The team brings exceptional expertise from Microsoft, AI2, ARM, acquired startups, and even a major utility, including PhDs, published ML researchers, and former industry executives.
You will lead projects that range from client engagements to internal initiatives. You will:
Lead client engagements from initiation through delivery and post-launch support, ensuring measurable outcomes and client satisfaction
Build trust and confidence with customers by acting as a strategic partner and ensuring effective deployment of solutions
Facilitate workshops (AI perspective, initiatives, strategy) and translate outcomes into structured plans of action
Coordinate software design and implementation processes, aligning engineering, AI specialists, and client stakeholders
Establish and maintain project standards, documentation, and repeatable processes to improve efficiency
Identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of milestones
Provide clear communication and reporting to both clients and internal stakeholders
Contribute to building AZX’s project management practices as we scale
10+ years of project or program management experience leading technology initiatives with mid- to large-size customers
Domain expertise in one or more critical industries we serve (energy, utilities, real estate, logistics, climate, or infrastructure) with an understanding of their unique data, regulatory, and operational challenges
Proven track record of delivering custom-built software and data solutions (not just SaaS deployments) with measurable business impact
Hands-on experience working with or deploying AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics solutions, with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
Strong technical literacy with the capability to engage deeply with engineers on topics like system architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and ML model deployment while maintaining strategic oversight
Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in environments of ambiguity and rapid change
Familiarity with cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Kanban, Jira, Asana, etc.), with the judgment to adapt process to the situation
Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills with the proven ability to distill complexity, surface risks, and drive clear decision-making
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or Critical Industries (Environmental); advanced degree a plus
High emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset
Passion for client success and positive climate impact
Enjoy celebrating others’ success and contributing to a supportive, fun environment
Comfortable making decisions in the face of ambiguity and course-correcting as needed
Experience in both startup and enterprise environments
Background in energy, utilities, real estate, logistics, climate, or related industries
Contributions to the professional community (industry forums, online posting, networking, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Competitive early-stage startup compensation (based on capabilities, experience, and location)
Bonus eligibility
Health insurance with meaningful coverage for dependents
Flexible paid time off
Equity
Fully remote culture with a cluster of teammates in Seattle
Training and learning opportunities
Be part of a fast-growing, profitable, mission-driven company with industry leading clients tackling the massive opportunity of AI transformation in critical industries
Remote, U.S.-based
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and company summits
