Responsibilities
- Lead and execute state and local government affairs strategy focused on Midwest and Eastern markets
- Build and manage relationships with government stakeholders including legislators, governors’ offices, mayors, regulators, and permitting officials
- Advocate for pro-storage and pro-renewables policies including permitting reform, tax policy, and capacity frameworks
- Monitor and influence legislative and regulatory proceedings impacting energy storage and project siting
- Partner with internal teams to align government affairs strategies with project milestones and risk mitigation
- Develop coalitions with trade associations, community groups, labor unions, and economic development organizations
- Manage consultants, lobbyists, and local government affairs contractors
- Represent Aypa in public hearings, legislative meetings, and regulatory workshops
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, or related field preferred
