Salesforce Data Migration Lead
Skills
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce data model and product suite (experience with Ascend managed package preferred)
- Extensive experience with higher-education and nonprofit fundraising systems (e.g., Ellucian Advance, Raiser's Edge)
- Strong background in ETL, SQL, data transformations, and RDBMS (Oracle experience preferred)
- Proven experience migrating legacy CRM platforms to modern Salesforce-based solutions
- Experience with integration tools and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Oracle SQL Developer)
- Solid understanding of environment management, version control, release management, and deployment methodologies
- Proven leadership delivering enterprise-scale software lifecycle projects
Responsibilities
- Lead data migration and integration projects through requirements, solution design, build, test, and deployment phases
- Define user stories, logical data models, and detailed functional system designs for Salesforce-based solutions
- Oversee and mentor a team of technical resources during development, testing, and deployment
- Design and execute ETL processes, data transformations, and migration strategies from legacy CRMs to Salesforce
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to document current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements
- Ensure environment, release, and deployment management best practices are followed
- Provide subject-matter expertise and trusted-advisor guidance on data architecture and product growth opportunities
- Coordinate integration work with third-party systems and vendors
Education
- Salesforce Administrator certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
