Role Overview
Seeking a proactive, senior-capable Marketing & Content VA to help a psychotherapy practice launch and grow a couples-therapy product (card deck) and elevate the creator’s brand.
You’ll own the content engine (reels/static posts), a simple go-to-market plan, and weekly execution, so the founder can record raw clips or share ideas while you turn them into polished, scheduled output across social.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce Strategy & Product Launch
●Translate business goals into a 90-day launch plan covering audience targeting, offers, channels, posting cadence, and KPIs.
●Provide guidance on financial planning for product launches, including sourcing funds and budgeting.
●Recommend brand/Instagram structure (separate product account vs. existing profile), bio, highlights, link-in-bio, and content pillars.
●Set up simple funnels including DM/lead capture, link hubs, and checkout/landing pages with the chosen platform team.
●Monitor performance metrics and suggest data-driven improvements.
Content Production (Primary)
●Build and manage a weekly content calendar (IG Reels/Posts, TikTok, YouTube Shorts; occasional carousels).
●Edit short-form video from founder-provided clips; add captions, hooks, subtitles, and light motion/graphics.
●Write on-brand captions, CTAs, and hashtags; repurpose content across platforms.
●Design light visuals including quotes, tips, product teasers, and simple product shots/mockups.
Channel Operations & Community
●Consistently schedule and publish content; monitor comments and DMs; escalate sensitive items appropriately.
●Run basic outreach (e.g., partner pages, creators, podcast guesting lists) and track responses.
●Manage and maintain engagement across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Skills & Qualifications:
●3 - 5 years experience in e-commerce strategy, product launches and financial planning guidance.
●Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and content creation.
●Proficiency in video editing tools and graphic design software.
●Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
●Ability to translate complex strategies into clear, actionable steps.
●Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
●Experience guiding individuals with limited e-commerce knowledge through the product launch process.
●Experience growing social media followings organically.
Reporting & Iteration
● Weekly KPI snapshot (views, saves, follows, CTR, top posts) + next-week adjustments.
● Maintain assets, templates, and SOPs for repeatability. MUST-HAVES
● 3 - 5 years in social/content roles (creator, brand, or agency) with portfolio of short-form video and carousel work.
● Strong video editing for short-form (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Express/Premiere Rush) and design skills (Canva or Adobe).
● Proven ability to own the plan: turn vague ideas into a calendar, drive execution, and recommend what to stop/start.
● Excellent written English; confident, direct communicator who can push the founder (professional, solution-oriented).
● Comfortable building simple SOPs, calendars, and weekly reports (Google Workspace).
● Works U.S. Eastern hours; dependable, consistent delivery.
NICE-TO-HAVES
● Familiarity with mental-health/couples/relationship topics and appropriate tone boundaries.
● Basic creator partnerships / podcast outreach experience.
● Light landing page/e-comm coordination (Shopify, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, or equivalent) with a dev/designer.
● Understanding of organic growth levers (hooks, retention, watch time, CTA testing) and very light paid-boosting.
Success in 30/60/90
● 30 days: Content pillars, brand voice guide and a 4-week calendar live; 12–16 posts shipped; baseline metrics captured.
● 60 days: Product pre-launch assets in market (teasers, waitlist/lead magnet); weekly KPI reviews driving iteration.
● 90 days: Launch executed; consistent posting cadence; top-performing formats identified; simple funnel working.
