About the Role

We are seeking a Copywriter to join our creative team and help shape the voice of the brand. This role is about crafting copy that does more than inform — it inspires, connects, and sells. From product descriptions to ad campaigns, your words will balance performance-driven features (UPF sun protection, quick-dry fabric, hidden pockets) with lifestyle storytelling that captures Poncho’s adventurous spirit.

You’ll be responsible for developing messaging across multiple touchpoints — e-commerce, paid ads, email campaigns, social captions, and more. The ideal candidate understands how to shift tone depending on the audience and platform while staying true to Poncho’s approachable, outdoor-focused brand voice.

Responsibilities

Write clear, compelling copy for:

  • Ad campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google).
  • Product pages and descriptions for e-commerce.
  • Social captions that drive engagement.
  • Email campaigns and landing pages that convert.
  • Translate technical product features (fabric performance, hidden functions, durability) into benefit-driven language customers can instantly connect with.
  • Maintain and evolve Poncho’s brand voice — adventurous, approachable, and rooted in performance.
  • Collaborate with creative strategists, designers, and video editors to ensure copy and visuals work seamlessly together.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing and social trends to keep messaging fresh and relevant.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong portfolio of digital marketing and lifestyle copy (ads, product pages, social, and email).
  • Proven ability to blend functional messaging with storytelling — making technical features exciting and relatable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and tone consistency.
  • Comfortable working across multiple platforms with varying copy needs (short-form captions, long-form product storytelling, performance ad copy).
  • Experience with lifestyle, outdoor, or apparel brands is a plus.
  • Collaborative mindset — able to take feedback, work with creative partners, and contribute ideas.
