Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets, complete appointment sign-in, confirm details, and escort clients to exam rooms
- Answer and triage inbound calls for appointments, medication refills, and hospital inquiries; make outbound appointment reminders and follow-ups
- Process payments, handle credit/debit transactions, and maintain accurate sales and service accounting
- Schedule future appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Maintain a clean, organized front-desk and waiting area to ensure a positive client experience
- Understand basic vaccination protocols, common lab tests, typical diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior to assist client inquiries
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational training or coursework in veterinary reception/customer service is a plus
