The role is on-site, based in our New York City or Boca Raton office - a fast-paced, collaborative environment where great ideas move quickly from whiteboard to production.

Pay Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $180,000-$240,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon work experience, and/or skill level, among other things. This role is also eligible for an equity package.

Responsibilities of the Senior Frontend Engineer (React/Next.js)

• Frontend Development: Design, develop, and maintain highly responsive, performant, and user-friendly web applications using React and Next.js, translating complex requirements into elegant and efficient code.

• Component & UI Development: Build reusable and scalable UI components and libraries, ensuring consistency and adherence to our design system.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers, focusing on Core Web Vitals and efficient data rendering.

• Cross-Browser & Accessibility: Ensure cross-browser compatibility and strict adherence to web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to create an inclusive user experience.

• API Integration: Seamlessly integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs, ensuring efficient data flow and robust error handling.

• State Management: Implement effective state management strategies for complex application logic.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with UX designers, backend engineers, AI engineers, and product managers to ensure technical feasibility, successful implementation, and a high-quality user experience.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and conduct code reviews for junior engineers, championing best practices in coding, testing, and system design.

• Testing & Quality: Implement comprehensive unit, integration, and functional testing strategies for frontend components and applications to ensure reliability and maintainability.

• Hiring & Onboarding: Participate in interviewing and onboarding new team members, helping to grow a world-class engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of deep, hands-on experience in Frontend Software Engineering, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on complex, production-grade web applications.

• Expert proficiency with React and Next.js for building modern, scalable web applications.

• Mastery of core web technologies: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (including responsive design techniques like Flexbox and Grid).

• Proficiency with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

• Strong understanding of web application architecture, client-side routing, and performance optimization techniques.

• Experience with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite), package managers (e.g., npm, Yarn), and version control systems (Git).

• Intimate knowledge of and ability to implement unit, integration, and functional testing strategies for frontend applications.

• Experience providing technical leadership and guidance, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve complex engineering problems.

• Friendly communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse, cross-functional team setting.

• Demonstrated experience working with many cross-functional partners (Product, UX Design, Backend Engineering).

• Demonstrated experience leading a software product or component's technical vision and delivery plan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong, demonstrated experience designing and developing for the healthcare sector, including familiarity with clinical workflows, patient portals, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

• Experience contributing to or leading the development of robust design systems.

• Experience with implementing OAuth 2.0 and/or OpenID Connect integrations for secure user authentication and authorization.

• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), or incremental static regeneration (ISR) with Next.js.

• Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js) for displaying complex healthcare data.

• Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to translate design mockups into pixel-perfect implementations.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS) for deploying web applications.
