Hardware Integration Engineer
Skills
- Experience with AV components (LiDAR, Radar, Cameras) and sensor integration
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and datasheets
- Hands-on experience with shop equipment, 3D printers, CNC, machining and welding
- Experience with low-volume manufacturing and assembly documentation
- Automotive diagnostic tools and vehicle repair/maintenance experience
- Familiarity with CAD/SolidWorks and test bench design (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for the autonomous vehicle system and develop deep familiarity with all subsystems
- Provide vehicle integration support: design, prototype, and install proof-of-concept systems and sensors
- Lead vehicle build-out through delivery, including final bring-up and shakedown testing
- Design and build test benches to validate mechanical, electrical, embedded and software components
- Develop and maintain vehicle integration and assembly documentation and procedures
- Troubleshoot vehicle systems, computer components and sensors; perform root cause analysis
- Work to minimize vehicle downtime while maintaining safety practices
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, technicians, operators and safety drivers on evolving technical challenges
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Robotics or related field (required)
