Skills
- 5+ years in robotics or autonomous systems with focus on motion planning and control
- Experience in two or more: behavior planning, path planning, motion planning, trajectory generation, control theory
- Proven ability to architect large-scale production software for robotic/automotive systems
- Leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects
- Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with safety-critical development and performance-constrained environments
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical strategy, roadmap, and architecture for motion planning and controls for L4 autonomous trucks
- Design and deliver robust, safety-critical algorithms for urban, highway, and diverse driving conditions
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on control systems and motion planning
- Evolve the autonomy architecture toward a final L4 end-to-end stack
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Perception, Remote Assistance, Simulation, and Vehicle Operations for integration
- Deliver production-grade software and support on-vehicle testing and deployment
- Make architecture and business-impacting technical decisions and ensure quality, performance, and safety requirements are met
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- Master’s or PhD in a related field preferred but not required
