Systems Engineer II
Skills
- 3+ years in Systems Engineering, IT Infrastructure, or Endpoint Management.
- Hands-on experience with Jamf, Intune, or Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in PowerShell; Bash or Ruby a plus.
- Experience with Linux, macOS, and Windows administration.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, and File Services.
- Familiarity with modern authentication and identity tools (Okta preferred).
- Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Jenkins) and scripting for configuration management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage endpoint management principles across Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS.
- Automate installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating environments using IaC/IaaS approaches.
- Manage software updates and system patching through automation and scheduling tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and respond to incidents.
- Maintain security and compliance across endpoint environments.
- Participate in an on-call rotation after proficiency is achieved.
- Document procedures, incidents, and lessons learned.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical problems and improve processes.
- Provide training and technical support to users and team members.
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of degree is accepted.
