Skills
- Minimum 5+ years as a TPM, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in autonomous systems, robotics, or software environments
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to read and discuss system architecture and software lifecycle
- Familiarity with robotics and/or computer vision system architectures
- Experience in rapidly iterating test environments with high integration between software and test teams
- Practical project management experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience coordinating field tests, flight test operations, and simulation-based validation
- Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional facilitation skills
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional engineering efforts to support forward-deployed products, including on-call response, root cause analysis, and field patches/fixes
- Travel to internal and customer locations to support tests, demonstrations, trainings, and software updates
- Manage and improve software release processes to balance feature development with field issue findings
- Develop roadmaps for SW core infrastructure (testing, simulation, device infra, fleet management, config & release management, production tooling)
- Autonomously deliver outcomes from broad or ambiguous requirements across multiple programs simultaneously
- Coordinate and execute frequent test events from simulations to flight tests and site demonstrations
- Partner with engineering leads to drive program execution, team velocity, and act as a program proxy where needed
- Identify and resolve systemic execution issues and cross-team dependencies; escalate as necessary
- Support staffing plans, prioritization, and resource alignment with technical roadmaps
- Track and communicate program progress and define efficient status communication processes
- Remove obstacles, manage escalations, and proactively drive clarity and progress
- Understand architecture-level technical implementation and propose alternatives when necessary
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline preferred
- Relevant professional certifications (PMP, SAFe, CISSP, OSCP, GIAC, Prosci) are beneficial but not required
