System Test Engineer
Skills
- Hardware validation and integration testing experience
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461 compliance testing
- Experience with electronics test equipment: power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators
- Data acquisition and sensor measurement experience
- Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing, analysis, and visualization
- Test bench design and instrumentation
- Environmental testing knowledge (HALT/HASS)
- Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain electrical system test strategies and detailed test plans for UAV and ground control products
- Conduct electrical compliance and robustness testing including MIL-STD-704 and MIL-STD-461
- Design, build, and deploy electrical system integration test benches (Iron Bird/Copper Bird/Lab Car)
- Decompose vehicle-level test requirements to component-level test cases and verification steps
- Execute integration testing of electrical subsystems and end-to-end functionality
- Perform root-cause analysis and failure characterization using data analysis and existing tools
- Develop and maintain test standards and automated test systems; design or procure test equipment
- Support environmental reliability testing efforts (HALT/HASS) at PCBA and LRU levels
- Validate automated test systems and ensure test readiness
- Travel to remote test sites to support integration, commissioning, and training as required
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- Master's or PhD in relevant field preferred
