Responsibilities
- Select and engage suppliers for assigned products using the approved supplier list
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate development via concept scoping, trade-off analysis, and joint design work
- Develop should-cost / clean-sheet models and lead all cost engineering activities
- Consolidate and manage manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing to enable internal and supplier production ramp
- Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize lead time and flexibility
- Perform BOM risk assessments and secure alternate component sourcing and qualifications
- Drive component qualification completion ahead of production and reduce complexity via commonality and supplier rationalization
- Address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export cost, and cost inflation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field (required)
- Master's or advanced technical degree (preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance (preferred)
