Staff Field Integration Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD and large-assembly review (e.g., Teamcenter NX).
- Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication for diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience managing multiple parallel integration projects and shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with hardware lifecycle processes, DFMA, and vehicle assembly considerations.
- Comfort collaborating across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel to test and customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration of subassembly hardware into host vehicles across product lifecycle phases (prototype to production).
- Serve as primary technical point of contact for internal leadership and external customers on integration status and needs.
- Provide design guidance to improve ease of integration based on customer use cases.
- Organize, prioritize, and drive resolution of integration-related issues including root cause analysis (RCA).
- Coordinate collaboration between design, manufacturing, electrical, and software teams to resolve integration challenges.
- Work with technical writers to produce installation and maintenance manuals and other integration documentation.
- Coordinate and track integration tasks, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely hardware and documentation delivery.
- Travel to test and customer sites as required for integration, testing, and field support.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
