Skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of sensors and instrumentation used in avionics
- Experience with electronics packaging for harsh environments
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, Minitab) and SPC
- Experience with special processes such as wire bonding and laser welding
- Strong communication, teamwork, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work hands-on on the production floor and perform physical tasks
Responsibilities
- Design, build and optimize production lines and tooling for avionics parts
- Develop and qualify manufacturing processes for avionics production
- Create and maintain production work instructions, training, and maintenance plans
- Drive process simplification, automation, and throughput improvements
- Maintain ownership of process consistency, quality, ergonomics, and safety
- Introduce and implement new products and product revisions with internal teams and vendors
- Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Investigate failures, document root causes, and drive corrective actions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (required)
