- 7+ years in IT infrastructure engineering with emphasis on cloud technologies
- Administration of Linux and Windows systems
- Experience with VMware and clustered server infrastructure
- Deep understanding of Active Directory and multi-site architectures
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and scale-out storage topologies
- Scripting for automation (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience deploying systems in air-gapped/classified environments
- Ability to work with customers and cross-functional engineering and security teams
Responsibilities
- Design, install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot classified IT systems across multiple classification levels (SAP, SCI) using Linux and Windows.
- Architect and execute server and storage infrastructure to meet program-specific requirements, including clustered and scale-out storage topologies.
- Support engineering and field-deployment efforts for multiple classified programs worldwide.
- Coordinate with ISSM/ISSO to monitor information systems and implement configuration management across authorization boundaries.
- Serve as subject-matter expert for classified IT matters and escalate when necessary.
- Define, document, and enforce standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.
- Develop scripting and automation to solve recurring operational problems and streamline deployments.
Education
- Relevant technical degree preferred (e.g., BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related)
- Equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of formal degree accepted
