Sr. Embedded NixOS Engineer
Skills
- Proven experience debugging custom hardware and interfacing software with hardware components.
- Experience with enterprise build and deployment systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with image-building infrastructure for embedded Linux systems.
- Familiarity with Nix/NixOS/Nixpkgs and functional package management (preferred).
- Experience with kernel modules, device drivers, and AArch64 embedded products (preferred).
- Experience with FPGA workflows and MATLAB C code generation is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Bring up NixOS on custom hardware platforms in collaboration with electrical and FPGA engineers.
- Design and implement image-building and deployment infrastructure for embedded Linux targets.
- Develop and maintain enterprise build, CI/CD, and software supply-chain tooling.
- Debug custom hardware and integrate software with device drivers and kernel modules as needed.
- Define and drive roadmaps for build, deployment, and CI/CD to streamline capability delivery.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant field is a plus but not required.
