Responsibilities
- Select and manage suppliers for assigned products leveraging approved supplier lists
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, design collaboration, statements of work)
- Develop should-cost / clean-sheet models and lead cost engineering to optimize total cost of ownership
- Create and consolidate manufacturing BOMs in coordination with Quality and Manufacturing to enable scalable production
- Manage NPI component procurement, CAPEX, and on-time delivery for production ramps
- Perform value-stream mapping to optimize lead times and supply network flexibility
- Conduct BOM risk assessments and establish alternate sourcing strategies
- Ensure completion of component qualifications prior to production
- Reduce complexity through component commonality and supplier rationalization
- Address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs, import/export costs, and inflation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., BSME, BSEE) or related technical degree required
- Advanced technical degree or MBA strongly preferred
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
