Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting
- Experience with Selenium and other automated testing frameworks
- Strong manual testing skills for complex systems including firmware/software integration
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in Agile development environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive test documentation
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software and firmware products
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Identify, document, and track software/firmware defects in bug tracking systems
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug, and verify fixes
- Maintain detailed test documentation and reporting to streamline QA processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies and automation
- Participate in system-level testing including hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and software-in-the-loop (SITL) when required
- Travel to outdoor and remote test locations as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required)
- Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience considered
