- Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, code review, and modern software release processes
- Background in safety-critical development, hazard analysis, and requirements-driven verification
- Skilled in statistics and AI/ML methods
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable with ambiguous requirements and evolving priorities; travel up to 25%
Responsibilities
- Define systems engineering strategies and drive requirements and verification for TRS products (Altius, Anvil, Bolt, Ghost).
- Collaborate with business lines and product leads to translate customer needs into testable system and software requirements.
- Decompose requirements with software engineering and lead verification planning across software and hardware domains.
- Design and execute testing strategies including simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, and live field tests.
- Coordinate and run frequent test events across labs and test sites, managing logistics and cross-team dependencies.
- Ensure compliance strategies for applicable standards (e.g., NATO UAV guidance, MIL-STD-882E).
- Manage cross-functional projects, identify systemic execution issues, and propose technical alternatives at the architectural level.
- Support staffing, roadmapping, and prioritization to align programs to technical milestones.
Education
- Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline (preferred)
